The Networking Company’s hardware of choice is Zyxel because they specialise in supplying technology to the small business that is normally only available to large companies. The latest product is the Zyxel 35 UTM, a Unified Threat Management (UTM) system.

The Networking Company can install and configure this to allow protection of your network at the point where you access the internet – the gateway, firewall and router.

It works by a separate processor scanning all incoming traffic for spyware, viruses, spam, intrusion and internet worms.  Zyxel UTM can block peer- to - peer applications such as music sharing software, MSN and inappropriate web sites. These applications slow down your network, can lead to loss of data and downtime and can even leave you open to prosecution - as the internet subscriber, you are now responsible for any staff member who uses illegal music downloads.
